Shapiro Wins Pennsylvania Governor Race Over Mastriano

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro won the race to be the state’s next governor and retain the seat for Democrats, according to the Associated Press. The state’s top prosecutor defeated Republican state senator Doug Mastriano, who had support from former President Donald Trump but who was unable to galvanize his party after taking positions on abortion and election integrity that turned off some moderate voters.
